Legal Working Group

IUCAB can rely on a Legal Working Group. This is a highly experienced team of independent lawyers who individually also act as legal advisors to IUCAB Member Associations. The Legal Working Group actively monitors upcoming initiatives for new legislative measures which may have an affect on the commercial agency profession, where and when necessary writes position papers to the appropriate policy makers and regularly publishes special reports on commercial agency matters for the IUCAB Member Associations and their members. In Europe the legal Working Group has played an important role in the drafting process of the EC Directive 1986 on Commercial Agents, the evaluation of the implementation of that Directive and has actively contributed to the safeguarding of the position of Commercial Agents under Competition Law rules.
